News Awards 2021
In 2021 three of our newspapers – Enfield Dispatch, Waltham Forest Echo and EC1 Echo – were shortlisted for the News Awards 2021 category of ‘Independent Community Newspaper of the Year’.
The Dispatch came in second as a ‘highly commended’ publication with the judges commenting: “Fantastic use of reader contributions and engagement with the community is key to the success of Enfield Dispatch. A good balanced read, oozing quality from start to finish with its excellent use of white space and large imagery.”

Social Spider CIC was one of the shortlisted organisations in the ‘Transformative Community Business’ category of the 2019 UK Social Enterprise Awards, in recognition of our community news publishing activity.
